Le Grove Serviced Residences

I stayed six nights at Le Grove serviced apartments, near Treetops and Shangri-La apartments. I first booked a studio, but it felt too small for two people, so I switched to a one-bedroom deluxe. Overall, I had a pleasant stay without any major problems and would consider returning. The apartment had a washer/dryer, daily housekeeping, and the kitchen basics for cooking. The pool was a decent size and the gym was nice, though I wish it stayed open 24/7. The hourly shuttle to Orchard MRT was convenient, since the station is around a 20-25 minute walk away. The queen bed in the deluxe felt small and sat low to the ground, so older guests should be careful. I also think the staff could be more courteous and friendly, greeting guests or asking about their day or flight. I've found that kind of warmth in Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, and the Philippines, especially Thailand, but not so much in Singapore.

The apartment had plenty of storage, so we could unpack and feel settled during our week there. We used the self-service laundry twice. The washers worked well, but the dryers didn't get our clothes as dry as we'd hoped. Still, having laundry available was helpful on a longer trip. My wife and I stayed at Le Grove Serviced Apartments on Orange Grove Road for about a week during a two-week Singapore holiday. The location was convenient, a short walk from Stevens MRT. For the price, the apartment was spacious and thoughtfully laid out, with separate sleeping and living areas and a narrower kitchen. It had a microwave, hob, fridge/freezer, and enough dishes and utensils for basic cooking. Although it's a 3-star place, it exceeded our expectations. Later we stayed in a 5-star hotel, but actually preferred Le Grove. It was comfortable and had what we needed for an extended stay at a fraction of the cost. We'd recommend it for affordable, spacious accommodation with good public transport access.

We cooked pasta and steak with everything we needed in the well-equipped kitchen, and the roomy apartment was great for a small brunch with friends. I stayed at Le Grove Serviced Residences with my best friend, and it felt like a relaxed little escape from Singapore. The Orange Grove neighborhood is private, but still close to town. The MRT is a long walk, and there aren't any convenient stores like 7-11 nearby, so we relied on GrabMart. We slept in and didn't try breakfast. Just remember this is a serviced apartment, with no room service and cleaning only on weekdays. There's also a $$$ deposit, so bring cash or a credit card. I'd definitely come back.

Breakfast is only served until 9:30 am, which may not suit everyone. At check-in they give you just two small bottles of water, and they don't provide more afterward, even if you offer to pay. This could work if all you need is somewhere to sleep, but anyone expecting hotel service or a memorable stay may be disappointed. I think there are better choices.
