Mayo Inn (Staycation Approved)

The room was fairly new and clean, and the price was affordable. Mine faced the street and was very noisy, so I recommend bringing noise-cancelling gear.

There are lots of food stalls, bars, and restaurants nearby, and a 7 eleven right across the street. So convenient. The price was very cheap for Singapore, check-in was smooth, and my room was spacious enough to open three suitcases. The amenities were decent, the AC worked fine, and the bathroom was great. Best of all, there was a jet shower beside the toilet, which I badly needed, lol. I’d stay here again on my next Singapore trip.

There are Indian and Malay restaurants nearby that stay open at night, handy if you’re hungry and want supper. The room facilities were decent, and it’s an okay spot for a couple of nights. The elevator is quite slow, basically a wheelchair lift turned into an elevator.

The room itself was nice, but it lacked amenities and could use improvement. The old lift was far too slow for guests. Breakfast wasn’t worth the price unless you mainly want coffee on a rooftop. The server was on the phone the whole time we were there, and the eggs were badly overcooked. Checkout was earlier than at other hotels. For this price, I’d choose somewhere else.
