The rooftop pool and jacuzzi are a big part of what makes the place feel comfortable and homey. The bed was comfortable, the amenities were good, and public transport is close by. In the heart of Bencoolen Street, it’s very spacious by Singapore standards and the room rate was reasonable. Thanks to Ms Diana for an efficient check-in and to all Oakwood Bencoolen staff for the great service and hospitality. A really nice spot for a staycation.

The pool area was nice and had plenty of seating, and the beds were really comfortable. Rooms, especially the bathrooms, are quite small for the price. Two bottles of water each day were a nice extra. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great, close to MRT, bus stops, and lots of restaurants and bars, between China Town, little India, and the Bay Sands area. The price could be better, but that’s Singapore.

The food at breakfast was satisfying, and the room was very clean. A food court is right beside the hotel in lazada tower. There’s a bus stop directly in front, and two MRT stations, bencoolen and bras basah, are nearby. I’d definitely recommend this hotel.

The beds were really comfortable, and the room had a safe and blackout curtains. The location was very convenient, and it was fine for somewhere to sleep. But the jacuzzi was cold. We were told they don't heat it because of Singapore's climate, so don't count on a hot tub. The gym wasn't much use either: a barely working cable machine and three treadmills, whose power outlets kept tripping the circuit after a few seconds. When we raised it with the front desk, they insisted the treadmills worked fine.

We had a really enjoyable stay. There was enough room for the two of us to sit and work side by side on our laptops. Getting around was easy too, with the MRT, museums, parks, churches, malls and food centres all a short walk away. Food Dynasty was handy when we wanted a quick meal.
