The Tiffin Room was the highlight of our birthday evening. The food was exquisite, the wine was first class, and Flor’s service was truly amazing. Before dinner, we had Singapore Slings at the Long Bar, ate the table nuts, and joined in the tradition of dropping the shells on the floor. My wife had wanted to visit Raffles for a long time, and the hotel didn’t disappoint. We ended the night walking around the beautiful grounds. We’ll always remember the occasion, and we’re grateful to Flor for making us feel special.

Mr. Roslee Sukar, Raffles’ resident historian and former personal butler to Michael Jackson and Queen Elizabeth II, gave us a private tour and shared stories from his decades of service. His humor, passion and knowledge brought the hotel’s history to life. It was a rare personal experience we’ll treasure. We also loved the attentive butler service throughout our stay. Every request was thoughtfully handled, and the warmth made us feel like honored friends. From the well-kept courtyards and corridors to the elegant suite, the preserved colonial architecture was beautiful. Raffles Hotel Singapore felt like living history wrapped in heartfelt hospitality. We left with wonderful memories and deep gratitude. Our stay was extraordinary.

Vicki was remarkable from our arrival right through to waving us goodbye. Even while looking after what must have been another 15 customers, she had advice and ideas for us and made us feel special. We weren’t surprised to hear she’d been named among Singapore’s best receptionists after only 18 months of experience. She must be even better by now. Our butler Cathy was fantastic too, bringing Singapore Slings to the room and running a relaxing bath for my partner. The staff are helpful and go out of their way to make the stay an experience. This iconic hotel is one of the best in the world, and the care and attention from its staff will keep it that way. Exceptional. See you later in 2026.

We arrived around 18:30 and only waited a minute or two to get a seat. The waitress was friendly and polite. We ordered Singapore Slings, which seemed to be what more than 90% of people were having. They cost 44 Singapore dollars each, so they’re not cheap, but we enjoyed them. A second drink gave us two chances to watch the mechanical cocktail shaker in action. Quite a sight and sound. We’d only come to Long Bar, but walking through the outer parts of Hotel from the front entrance gave us a bit of a feel for what staying there might be like. The bar itself wasn’t as long as I expected. After about an hour, we left and saw a queue of around 20 people waiting to get in. If you get the chance, enjoy the cheeky fun of tossing monkey nut shells on the floor.

The Indian restaurant’s food was excellent, breakfast had plenty of choice, and the pool and spa were lovely. Our suite was super comfortable and had first-class amenities; they seem to think of everything. From arrival, the friendly staff went above and beyond to make the stay special. We had an amazing visit to this first-class hotel. Go see for yourself.
