Reddoorz Hostel @ Beach Road

The clean, comfortable public lounge was probably my favorite part. The dorm style room was pretty classic hostel fare, but I had no complaints. Everything was clean and usable, with no bed bugs or mosquitoes, and the WiFi was okay. Some interesting shopping areas were close enough too. Solid value.

The kitchen and common room felt really cozy and comfortable. The bed was clean, the bathroom was okay, and the staff were helpful. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at in Singapore. I’ll definitely be back.

Breakfast was good, with cereal, toast, spreads, and drinks. The kitchen and living area were clean and comfortable, and the bunks were clean too, with big lockers and enough floor space to sort through your bags. It’s an easy walk to Bugis, shops, food, and the Arab food streets, plus it’s close to buses and stations. The bathroom could have been cleaner. Also, if you’re a woman on a mixed floor, you have to go to the women-only floor to use the bathroom, which is a bit annoying. I had a great stay and would come back.

I stayed three days and two nights, and there was no room service at all. Management should keep a closer eye on the hostel’s cleanliness. The room was spacious for me as a solo guest, and it’s convenient for getting to the city center and various shops.
