It’s affordable and handy for public transport and food stalls, but I wasn’t happy with the room I booked. It felt small, and the sheets hadn’t been changed. The staff seemed busy, and requests took hours to be handled. The price is okay, but guests deserve good service too.

RedDoorz Little India goes by Vintage Inn, if I’m not mistaken, and it’s tucked behind an unmarked door up the stairs next to a ground-floor restaurant. The receptionist was exceptionally friendly and warm. My bed was a double in a bunk setup, and you get what you pay for. Toiletries and a locker are included with the bed. The upper bunk handrails felt a little oily and could use more cleaning. The staircase landing also needs some upkeep, and I saw tiny creepy crawlies there. Still, it’s good value for a short stay, and I’d happily recommend it to friends visiting from abroad.

Outside can feel hectic, but once you’re in the room and settled into bed, the stay feels satisfying. My time here was calm and relaxed, and the receptionist was friendly and accommodating. They have beds for two as well, so couples can stay too. I’d recommend it for a solo vacation. Thanks, RedDoorz Hostel!

The beds are really comfortable. They call the spaces cubicles, though they’re basically bunk beds turned sideways. For a very cheap place to crash, it does the job.
