Avoid this place if you want a good experience in the city. It felt like staying in a prison, with a very dirty bedroom, too many beds in one room, no natural light, and a terrible upper bunk. Reception was unavailable most of the time, the AC was off during the day, and rude staff would come in, switch on the light, and shout. They say laundry is paid, but when I asked, it wasn’t. Towels, shampoo, and other basics weren’t included either. It’s not cheap for what you get. Spend $5 more for somewhere better.

The friendly receptionists deserve credit, all three ladies, two Filipinos and one Chinese. Hats off to their service. This is the best cheap hostel in Singapore, in Chinatown and just a few steps from Chinatown MRT 😀.

You step straight into the busy Chinatown market, with Chinatown MRT right nearby, so getting around Singapore is easy. The rooms are roomy too, and the staff are really friendly. Service was great.

For someone travelling on a budget, this is a good place to stay. The showers are spot on, the location is great, and the staff are lovely. The rooms do have a bit of that old-school hostel feel.

We met lots of friends here, and there’s a sofa where you can sit and wait. It was very cheap at 30$/ night, and the reception staff were very nice. They are Philippines.
