Studio M Hotel Singapore

We stayed from March 1st to March 3rd, and sadly the experience was disappointing. At check-in on the evening of March 1st, the young male front desk staff member seemed unfriendly and didn’t greet us with a smile. The interaction felt cold. Then at checkout around noon on March 3rd, the two middle-aged aunties at the front desk also seemed unpleasant. What made us uncomfortable was that they appeared warm and smiley with Western guests, but noticeably different with Asian guests like us. We felt the courtesy and professionalism weren’t equal, which was upsetting. The sheets had a slight sweaty smell, so they didn’t seem freshly changed, and that affected our comfort. We also asked about umbrellas for guests and were told there weren’t any. For this price, there are better options with more professional and welcoming service. Based on our stay, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Assist Admin Cel Shirley made the stay feel personal. She was friendly, attentive, and professional, and got us through check-in smoothly. The room was clean and modern, with a cozy, stylish loft layout, and the hotel had a lively but relaxing feel. Getting around the city was convenient too. I had a pleasant stay and would consider coming back or recommending Studio M Hotel.

We were there for four nights for our wedding anniversary, and Ms Cel and Ms Shirley at reception were so welcoming. The loft made the room both attractive and practical, and it had the amenities you’d expect from a 5-star hotel. The location was fabulous, by the river and near bus stops.

The family loft worked really well for staying with family or friends, and I liked the mezzanine design and the atmosphere around the hotel. Clark Quay is an easy walk away. Check-in was meant to be at 3 pm, but I wasn’t checked in until 3:15. Ms. Shirley was polite and helpful, though, and the stay was great overall.
