The Bohemian

I just finished three nights here. The AC worked really well, and the place offered good value for the price and location. The bathrooms combine the toilet and shower, like in many Asian countries. In the rooms with curtains, each cube has a TV and feels quiet and private. There’s also the chance to meet people if you feel like it. Stacy was extremely friendly and helpful, and made everyone feel welcome. With Singapore’s prices and all the different options, I think it’s a great choice for backpackers and solo female travelers.

I really enjoyed my time here. The guests and staff were all incredibly friendly, and I made lots of nice friends at the hostel. It’s clean and well located in Chinatown, with plenty of affordable, tasty food courts nearby. Stacy left the strongest impression on me. Sorry if I’ve spelled her name wrong. She’s always smiling, greets us with “How are you?” or “Welcome back,” and enjoys chatting with us.

There were only two toilets with showers upstairs for more than twenty people. The location is great, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I made a mistake with the dates when booking and ended up reserving a night I didn’t need. Their policies were very strict, with no reimbursement allowed, and I also had to pay a penalty. That was especially unpleasant when traveling on a budget.

Manis and Stacey at reception were quick to help and knew a lot about Singapore. The staff worked really hard, and they made the experience so good. Singapore is better with the team at the Bohemian :) The facilities were clean and easy to get to, and the location made it easy to get around the city. It was a great pick, and I’d recommend it to other travelers.
