Wink @ McCallum Street - Hostel

Check-in was smooth, and the room had everything I needed laid out in a simple, practical way for a short stay. It was comfortable, and the hotel felt modern and clean. Wink @ McCallum Street is conveniently located, and the friendly, helpful staff made everything feel easy and stress-free. I’d recommend it if you want a clean, well-located place in Singapore without a lot of fuss.

The hotel is on the third floor, so pack light if you can. A staff member was very friendly and helped carry my luggage up to the room. Mine wasn’t large, but it had four double pods. The pod was really clean, with a soft, comfortable mattress I could sleep on all day 😅. Best of all, there’s a separate shower room for women.

The staff were nice, which helped, and the place was generally clean. Breakfast was small. Still, I wouldn’t stay here again if I could spend a little more for somewhere nicer. It’s a cube hostel with four toilets and three showers shared by men and women. The showers are old and need an upgrade, just like the pictures show. There’s no elevator on the first floor, so you have to carry your luggage. The beds weren’t good or soundproof, despite what the website claims. Even in a family room, you can’t control the AC yourself. It gets turned off during the day while people are out, so if you’re in the room, there’s nothing you can do.

The pods are big and spacious, but the rooms and shared areas are very small. Sometimes there’s nowhere in the room to put your luggage, so it has to stay in the corridor. Hygiene in the showers needs more attention. The location is very convenient, near public transport and within walking distance of different parts of the city.
