The owners were lovely. In summer they offered us vegetables from their garden, and before we left they gave us a bottle of wine made by a cooperative from their grapes. The apartment is a short walk from the center of Bohinijska Bistrica and the large one has plenty of room for a family of up to five. It’s well furnished, especially the very well-equipped kitchen. A sofa indoors or a deck chair on the terrace would be a nice addition.

We spent a full week here and hope to come back. Ivanka was a wonderful, attentive host, and we managed to communicate well despite the language barrier. The place had everything we needed for a homely vacation, with groceries and restaurants nearby. It’s also easy to reach the main roads for Lake Bohinij and Bled.

The apartment was very comfortable and clean, with a full kitchen, big bedroom and balcony, good water pressure, and parking. Just remember payment is cash to the host. For card payment, you have to drive down to the tourism bureau by the lake, next to Mercator grocery. All the local bookings go through them. Lake Bohinj is an 8-minute drive or a 14-minute bus ride, and bike rental is close by.

Ivanka was so nice and helpful, and greeted us with a cold beer and something stronger 🙂. We spent four lovely days here and would gladly return. The accommodation is spacious and well equipped, with a large terrace and beautiful surroundings. The whole area is great for walks, hikes and trips, and we made the most of it. Wishing you success!
