Koca Bistra - Velika planina

Rok was friendly and quick to respond, and the Koca Bistra cabin was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed. My wife and I had a great stay. It felt like a once in a lifetime experience, and we hope to return someday.

The food was a highlight for me. Koča Bistra's restaurant served hearty traditional dishes made with local ingredients, along with more refined regional creations. I especially liked the homemade pastries and filling soups after being out in the crisp air. The staff were kind and welcoming throughout my stay, offering suggestions for local attractions and arranging transportation to and from the hotel. There was a good range of activities too, from guided walks in the wilderness to easy strolls through nearby villages. I especially enjoyed the sauna and hot tub overlooking the mountains after a day out. My chalet was cozy, with modern amenities, plush bedding, and a crackling fireplace. Koča Bistra also has other accommodation options, including rooms with panoramic views and rustic chalets among the trees. The location on the slopes of Velika Planina is stunning, with meadows, forests, and snow-capped peaks all around. From arrival to the reluctant goodbye, the stay left me feeling refreshed and exceeded my expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend Koča Bistra for an alpine getaway.

The views from the apartment were lovely, and it also has a private area where you can enjoy nature and the cows. The whole place is calm and quiet, with amazing scenery. Even rainy weather wouldn't spoil a stay here. The cottage's cozy living room is comfortable for reading, games, or simply relaxing, and the sauna and fireplace help keep you warm. It works well for families, couples, and groups of friends, with beautiful surroundings and walking and hiking routes for everyone from kids to experienced mountaineers. Rok was a perfect host, always friendly and ready to help. The breakfast was amazing, and I wouldn't skip it. Staying at the Cottage was the best choice we could have made for our trip to Slovenia. We can't wait to plan another holiday at Rok's truly magical hut!
