It’s a very quiet part of town, right by the railway station. In summer there’s passenger service just once a day in each direction. The hotel is right on the E6 European walking trail, so it’s a handy starting point for walks. My single room was on the small side, but the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good, and the atmosphere relaxed. I had to leave very early, and they put together a special breakfast packet for me.

Our group of eight waited an hour for food, and most of the menu items weren’t available, so we all ended up choosing between just two dishes. The portions were tiny and the food was only okay, so we left hungry. The woman serving us was very rude. When they got the order wrong, she blamed us instead of taking responsibility.

A great place to get away from the city. The special dishes were delicious, and the atmosphere was quiet. I’d recommend it for group meals or business dinners.

One of Slovenia’s best meat restaurants, in my view. The wild catch is so delicious and unusual that you don’t come across it just anywhere. It feels truly special. If you love meat and live in Slovenia or are visiting, I’d warmly recommend making this a stop.
