The location is excellent, very close to the sea and city centre, and the room and shared facilities were clean. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the hostel has what you need for a short overnight stay. Noise is a real drawback. The rooms have very poor soundproofing, so you hear almost everything from the hallway and nearby rooms. There's also no proper place to store luggage after check-out. Fine for a simple short visit if you value the location and cleanliness, but less suitable if you need more comfort and space or are sensitive to noise.

The location is bangin, and check-in was easy. I was nervous after reading the reviews, but it seems they've listened and made improvements. My room was clean and comfy, and I was pleasantly surprised there was AC. You share a bathroom with 3 other rooms on the floor, but there are 2 toilets, so it wasn't an issue. Perfect for budget travellers.

This was great value for money, even though it's not a 5 star resort. We had an AC unit in our room that we could set however we liked, and the free wifi was good: I got 500Mbps down and 110 up. The location is great in Koper old town. Check-in was painless too. After we sent photos of our passports and our login times in a reply, we got the instructions to pick up the keys and let ourselves in.

Hostel Martin is affordable, clean, and nicely furnished, right in the center of Old Town Koper. What really makes it stand out from similar places in Koper, though, is the warm, hardworking staff. Zlatka was a wonderful host and helped make us feel comfortable and at home, wherever in the world we came from. I warmly recommend it.
