Domus Romanus

A roomy, cozy place with its own parking, right in the middle of the city.

Meh.

There's fast, free Wi-Fi and a TV, and the apartment has parquet floors. It's a cozy two-room place on the first floor of a historic building that badly needs renovation, though the apartment itself shows a lot of wear. The living room is spacious, with a comfortable sofa, dining table, and a little kitchenette with a two-burner cooktop and fridge. No coffee maker. The sleeping area sits in the anteroom behind plexiglass walls, and the double bed is extremely narrow with a worn-out mattress. The shower is part of the bathroom, without a curtain or enclosure, but water drains quickly and the floor dries fast. There is no air conditioning, so it can get very hot in summer.

The owner was attentive and helpful, sharing good information and tips about the city. Check-in was easy, and we could get into the room and park inside the building. The apartment was a good size, with four and a separate living room and kitchen. It had cable TV with all the important channels, including sports, plus a private bathroom and basic kitchen utensils. We were given local wine and several restaurant tips. I recommend it and would definitely stay here again.
