The rooms were good value, especially the modern, spacious, fully furnished ones at the back, and the hotel works well for both work trips and holidays. Extras can add up fast, though: parking is €30 a night, pancakes are €10, and an oat milk cappuccino is over €5. If you're watching your budget, that could make a real difference to the final bill. The bar stays lively and serves tasty food throughout the day, along with specialty coffee and cocktails. The rooftop was cozier and smaller than it looked in the photo. We went in November, when it wasn't crowded, and the heated pool was still being used. It felt mainly like a place for fun and photos. I would have liked tea bags or herbal tea in the room, as well as drinks and snacks.

We found the place very clean, with good WiFi, all the everyday essentials and a great location. Check-in and checkout are handled online, which was seamless, though there isn't a reception. It's comfortable for two or three people, and the ground-floor restaurant is a highlight, with good food and drinks and really friendly staff. Across the road are Korean and Bingo, which only does Chinese takeaway. Both are a must visit in cold weather.

I'd stay at neu again if I come back to ljubljana. The room was lovely, and having a sofa and little kitchen was great for a stay of three nights or more. It's close to the train station, and downtown ljubljana is nearby too since it's a small city. There being no reception felt weird, but they answered emails quickly and were really helpful. I asked them lots about the city and renting a car, though I didn't try the concierge service.

The location was a highlight, just a short walk from the pink church and 3 bridges. We had a good stay in the modern building, and the studio was thoughtfully designed, though a bit sparse. Check-in and checkout felt overly high tech and impersonal. We were there for two nights and the room wasn't cleaned. Maybe it was just forgotten, but at the price we paid, it should have been serviced.
