The location is very central and the price is good for what you get. The lockers were large enough for all my bags. I was surprised there wasn’t a towel for drying hands, though, and I didn’t trust the wooden cage used for luggage drop-off to keep my belongings secure.

Our private four-bed room had no AC, but opening the windows gave us enough air. It’s a good option for a short stay, and the location is excellent.

The reception staff were shockingly rude, and I felt like a nuisance instead of a guest. The place didn’t feel safe either: some guests had belongings stolen while we were there, leaving everyone on edge. There was no security or hospitality. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The central location is the only thing I can praise. We arrived to a tiny, cramped, run-down room with six beds packed tightly together. The walls and floor behind them were filthy, and I doubt they’d ever been cleaned. The walls were paper thin, and the blinds barely helped. In the morning, I found three bedbugs crawling on my sheets. Reception wasn’t open yet, so I had to wait and couldn’t get back to sleep, ruining our first night. Once reception opened, I reported it. They offered another room or told us we could find somewhere else, and to their credit, they offered to wash our clothes. But our clean clothes were put in the same bag as the potentially contaminated ones, which defeated the point. The replacement room was a little better, though still not great, and the rest of the stay was fine. There’s no common room, so there wasn’t really any atmosphere or socializing. At checkout, we thought it was reasonable to ask for the first night to be free, since the lack of proper cleaning had caused the problem. The receptionist shrugged and said nothing could be done because we’d slept there and only reported it in the morning, after reception had opened, and they’d “provided a solution.” That solution was to move rooms or leave. If you’re fine with getting bitten and paying too much for a dirty, subpar hostel, go ahead. For a decent stay, avoid it. I also tried to review the place on Hostelworld, where we booked, but there was no option to leave one. I wonder why.
