We dropped in on Friday evening and got a warm welcome. There were lots of tables, with a view of the sunset behind the mountains and lake. The mixed grill for sharing was the best deal, cheaper than two individual grills and with a bonus schnitzel. The fish and vegetarian options were really good too.

The guesthouse sits in a quiet spot by a creek, just outside the lake and town. The rooms were comfortable and clean, breakfast was generous, and I had a delivered meal at the on-site restaurant.

The staff were incredible and lovely, and took care of all our needs. The room had an alpine, back-to-nature feel. The restaurant at the property was great too. I recommend the tuna salad, breaded trout, and half-dry white wine.

The owner was super friendly and helpful when we were planning things to do in the area. Her restaurant served cold drinks and delicious food, and we really enjoyed the dishes as well as our stay. Our room wasn’t the most modern, but it was clean and cosy, with a balcony overlooking the lake and mountains. Breakfast was good.

The location was great, and the garden bar and restaurant were good. But the attic room was much smaller and darker than the one we’d booked, and they were fully booked so we couldn’t switch. The bathroom was tiny and smelly, the Wi-Fi was slow, and breakfast fell short of expectations. For this price, it was a huge disappointment and I wouldn’t recommend it.
