The location is great, and I met some nice people. In under a minute you're at the medieval city walls, right by the famous church where 19 Kings and Queens were crowned. The owner was very responsive, and it turned out to be a really nice spot, even though the door has no real sign and looks a bit odd. There's an extra city tax that wasn't advertised, or at least I didn't notice it, though that's fairly common. Thanks again for a great stay!

Martin, the host, was really nice and helped us a lot. He even drove us to a free parking spot in the city. The beds were tidy and comfortable, the room was nicely decorated, and the bathroom was clean. I only stayed one night, but if I were staying longer in Bratislava, I'd have chosen Hostel One again. I'd highly recommend it if you're ever in Bratislava.

Hostel One is a small hostel with just one dorm, about a 5-minute walk from both the Bus Station and Bratislava Castle. It had only opened that February ('17), so it was brand new. The beds are comfortable, and the room is nice, with a reasonably equipped kitchenette and washroom. Linens and free WLAN are included. Make sure to ring the proprietor about 30 minutes before you arrive, since he's not always there and will come meet you.

Eight of us had the hostel to ourselves for a stag do. It's a nice, basic place, though the mattresses and pillows weren't the comfiest. Still, a bed is a bed.
