Urban Elephants Hostel

This hostel’s friendly, homely atmosphere comes from the people who keep its vibe going. Rio was the life of the party and took time to get to know you. When I arrived, travie was at reception with the friendliest smile and made me feel so welcome. He really gives off a positive aura. I’d definitely recommend staying here :)) ✌🏼✨✌🏼

My friend eloïse and I only stayed one night and really wished we could’ve stayed longer 😩. It’s especially good if you like to party, since they have house parties almost every night. The hotel was super clean and amazing, and the staff were so cool. Murilo was especially friendly and kind. Everyone else was really nice too, though sadly I can’t remember their names. Highly recommended!!! ❤️‍🔥

The kitchen was filthy, and six beds were crammed into a tiny, smelly room. The mattress gave me back pain for a week. There was also a weird vibe, with staff sleeping with visitors. Maybe some people like the junkie vibe, but I didn’t. I guess that’s what you get for the price. Don’t stay more than two nights. You’re welcome.

This hostel is really good at bringing people together, and the activities they put on are fun. They also have quiet hours for anyone who wants to rest. But the rooms, mattresses, and general upkeep of the building could use some care. If you’re after rest and relaxation, you’re better off booking a hotel. The volunteers show endless care and give great service. Celio deserves a big shout-out: he took us on a free walking tour and found a thoughtful spot for an afternoon get-together. He really went above and beyond.
