The bathrooms were the weak spot for me. There was sometimes a bad smell, and showering or even washing my hands could be difficult. The rooms looked quite clean, though, and I liked the roomy wooden beds, which gave the place some character. Between the bedrooms there’s a small private living room if you’d rather avoid the main one downstairs. There’s also a spacious kitchen, with tea and coffee offered each morning. The hostel is in Bratislava’s old city centre, about 100 meters from the royal castle, with two restaurants and a pub nearby for a quick meal or drink. The closest supermarket seemed a bit farther away, so keep that in mind. My flight was delayed, but they kindly let me collect my keys from the nearby restaurant in the same building and check in the next day without any trouble. My locker was missing its key, but after a few tries the staff found a spare one fairly quickly.

The bunk beds have curtains, so you can get some privacy, and the hostel was quiet enough to sleep in. Rooms are spacious, and the shower, toilet, and kitchen were very clean and well kept. It was a beautiful place for the price. The castle is just up the hill and the church is across the road, with bars and restaurants close by and on site. Staff were polite and quick.

The bus station is a little far away, but the location is otherwise superb. The castle is an unusual sight and less than a 10-minute walk away, so it’s an easy place to start exploring Bratislava. The hostel is very backpacker-friendly, with clean rooms and showers, a large secure locker with a key ready to use, and no deposit. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

There’s a good view towards Danube river, and the hostel is very close to the old town, SNP bus station, and the castle. It was clean and nicely renovated. Each bed has a locker and a curtain, which helps with privacy and keeps the light from bothering you. The rooms are warm, with good blankets for Bratislava’s cold weather.

The hostel felt fresh, and the beds were comfortable with curtains. It’s in a handy spot between the old city and the castle, with the UFO-bridge and buses nearby. I’d stay here again if I return to Bratislava.
