Hotel Ambassador

We were there for two nights with a conference group of 60, and the planning went smoothly. Everything was ready when scheduled, and the team also handled our last-minute requests as they came up. Everyone was exceptionally kind and helpful. The rooms and surroundings were lovely, and the food was great. Hats off to the staff.

Fantastic location and convenient parking. The service was good, and the staff had a nice attitude toward guests. A few rooms could use some adjustments, like better curtains or plugs near the bed.

Being in the pedestrian area is a real plus, and parking was easy to reach and convenient, at €8 a day at the time. Reception was fine, check-in and payment were straightforward, and the Wi-Fi stayed fairly stable, though it was limited to 2 MB/s. Breakfast was basic with a few shortcomings, but adequate for a short visit. Our top-floor room had steep sloping ceilings, so it was impossible to stand on one side of the bed. It also got quite cold overnight. The cleaning wasn’t great either: one drawer had rubbish in it and there was a lot of dust, which bothered my allergies.

The private spa was lovely and inexpensive, with a whirlpool, and worth a visit. There weren’t any instructions, which was kind of funny. The cafe was a different story. The service didn’t feel up to a four-star hotel, and it smelled of cigarettes even in the non-smoking section. I’d rate the cafe two stars and the spa four, so three overall.
