We’ve been here several times and have always enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and service. You can sit inside or outside, depending on the weather. It’s a nice spot below Zobor hill, by the old lower lift station. Daily menu prices are fair for the quality and service. The regular menu may be a little pricier, but that’s understandable these days. There’s plenty of parking, though the area will need some reconstruction in the near future.

The food was great. From outside, the place isn’t much to look at and can be easy to miss. The interior seems fancy at first, but then you notice the appliances are showing wear. Maybe they should check the microphone batteries before the next big banquet.

I’ve liked this restaurant for a long time and go there now and then in summer for its really good pizza. On a recent visit, though, the lunch menu had almost no vegetarian options, which was disappointing. I ended up ordering salad with mozzarella instead of meat. The ice cream was delicious, but the raspberry topping was meant to be hot and was so cold it nearly froze my brain. I still like the place.

The venison was tender, soft, and full of flavor. Absolutely excellent.
