I still remember this as my favorite place, even though I only spent one night here two years ago. The room was clean and cozy, there's a big shared kitchen, and it's quiet while still being convenient for the bus and shopping mall. The people were kind and really helpful without getting in your way, and they spoke English very well. I slept better here than anywhere else on my long trip. It seems like a good fit for both a short visit and a longer stay, including for students. I'm from Japan, and I'd recommend it to Japanese visitors to Nitra too. The owner is lovely, and when you need help they're there for you, but otherwise they let you relax and do your own thing.

Getting around was easy enough: it was a quiet neighborhood, and the train and bus stations were about a 15-minute walk away. Staff replied right away, and communication was great. I was glad to find a fridge in the room for the food I needed to keep cold. The bathroom and toilet were clean, the cleaning lady was very nice, and the bed linen and towels smelled fresh. My room itself smelled musty, though, and the pillow and duvet had an odor too. The radiator heated up fast, but it was noisy, and the curtains kept the room from warming quickly. The bed was also very low for me.

The kitchen was clean and well equipped, and the staff were lovely and very helpful. For the price, I'd say it's okay. But it was really noisy, especially downstairs, where you hear every guest arrive and leave. Having a shared bathroom is a downside too. I ran into a half-dressed pensioner there, and they could at least separate the bathrooms by gender. I wouldn't recommend bringing small children.

A quiet spot not far from the center, and great for families with kids. The people were really nice and the accommodation was perfect. We'd go back next time, if I can get the time off.
