Penzión High Tatras

The room was a decent size and the pension itself seemed fine, but our host's service apparently wasn't the same as other guests received. Water was barely available on the top floor, and the kitchen was a joke, with pans that looked decades old. The little things needing repair added to the frustration: the shower head, a tap that's too big for the sink, and a hole in the shower screen. Breakfast was poor if you prefer sweet food, so don't expect that. For €5 we got three pieces of bread, a slice of cheese, three slices of ham, five slices of chorizo, five cucumber slices and half a tomato. They also gave us one NESCAFE even though the espresso machine was only two metres away. Too many disappointments for more than two stars.

The price and location were good, and the staff were nice. There was just one kitchen for eight apartments across two floors, and hot water was almost nonexistent upstairs.

Families with little kids should find this cozy place suitable. It’s in a very convenient spot, and the service felt good for what we paid. Highly recommend it.

We had a lovely time here. The staff were very friendly, parking was available, and the view from our window was amazing. Such a cozy, nice place.
