Kontakt wellness hotel

The pool was enjoyable, and the room cleaning was excellent. We skipped the saunas. But for a four-star hotel, no air conditioning when it’s over 30 degrees is hard to understand. The food was passable, though choices were limited. There was enough to avoid going hungry, but the meals weren’t very enjoyable. Fruit was scarce, and some looked wilted, possibly left from the day before. Arriving an hour before breakfast or dinner ended could mean finding two or three dishes already gone, with no more brought out. The room and hotel also had some frustrating flaws. Sound carried freely, the curtain was too short to cover the window, and the windows looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a year or more. The pillows were awful, like the cheapest ones you might find at IKEA.

Getting there is easy by car or public transport, and it works well for a weekend away or a family or group holiday. The staff were so welcoming and attentive that they made the stay feel special. The food was another highlight, with generous portions, fresh ingredients, great seasoning, and plenty of choice. I loved the wellness facilities, especially the saunas and inhalation rooms. There’s an indoor and outdoor jacuzzi, plus a 20-meter pool and a separate kids’ pool. For me, this is the best wellness hotel in Tatras. We’ll definitely return!

Deer sometimes come right up to the houses to eat the grass. I loved the view from ours, and the staff were polite and friendly. There’s a large pool, jacuzzi, spa, and even bowling inside the hotel. A really nice place to unwind with family or friends.

The spa is the best part, and with so few people there it was especially pleasant. The rooms were clean too. The meals felt more like canteen food, though, and at the price we paid I find it hard to give it three stars.
