Podrozsutce is an amazing place, right below Malý Rozsutec at the “Podrozsutec,osada” sign. Snow fell during our stay and made it feel like a fairy tale. There’s an easy forest path toward Bieli Potok, for example Hotel Diery, about a 50-minute walk each way through snowy woods. There’s also a buffet just above the cottage, at another accommodation called Zaťkov dvor. We spent three nights there over New Year's Eve, seven adults and two children. It’s a typical older wooden cottage, registration number 726, and the price fits that kind of place. We knew what to expect and were very satisfied, but don’t book it expecting luxury. The owner stays in the next cottage and keeps an eye on the central heating. The cottage was warm, and each room has adjustable radiators. We slept well, the beds were fine for us, and the hot water worked without any trouble. The kitchenette shows its age. It has plates, glasses, cutlery, some pots and pans, and other basics, but they’re all older, so we brought a few cooking utensils. There’s a working electric oven, gas stove, microwave, kettle, and small fridge. There’s one bathroom, connected to the toilet, and steep stairs to the upper floor. Neither was a problem for us, though they’re worth knowing about. The listing on booking shows registration number 724, although the cottage itself is next door and marked 726. It also mentions a sauna among the activities, but there isn’t one, so don’t count on it. The power went out across the settlement twice. Nobody could do anything, and it came back within 1.5 hours. Take care on the access road. It started snowing on 29.12., and the road really calls for 4x4 and chains. We made it in a Skoda Karoq without 4x4, on new winter tires with chains, but other cars couldn’t get up. In that case you have to leave the car below and arrange a ride, about 1.5 km uphill. We recommend the cottage as long as you keep in mind that it’s an older, typical wooden place. Thanks to the owners for the New Year's Eve stay, we enjoyed it and would happily book again :))
