The setting makes it easy to unwind after a full day out, and sitting by the fireplace with a good drink is a lovely way to end the evening. The owners are nice and interesting, and both breakfast and the restaurant were excellent. It’s also well placed for getting around: Bachledka ski resort is about 5 minutes away, Bielanska Cave around 10, and Tatranska Lomnica about 25. There’s a bike trail nearby that makes for an interesting walk too. A pleasant, almost magical place.

The rooms were cozy, with nice balconies and great views, and I loved the food. I worked my way through the whole menu during the week we spent here with my wife. Chata Baba Yaga is a small pension tucked away in the eastern Tatras, with a little restaurant that serves great meals. It’s a great spot for hiking and bike rides. And don’t forget to start the day in the forest gym 😉

The owners were friendly and easy to chat with, and the lodge sits in beautiful countryside. We had a perfect break here, away from all the bustle, and it made a great base for exploring the high tetras. Thanks, Richard.
