I've stayed in plenty of hostels here, so this level of customer service was a real surprise. I arrived without a local phone and couldn't call to have the front door opened for the bed I'd already paid for online. Someone else called for me, but the man said I should have my own phone when travelling abroad and that it wasn't his problem. When I asked for a refund, he said he didn't understand. At 8:30 pm, the same man came into the dorm, said he was the owner and told me, "you listen to me, if I don't like it, leave!" He claimed the website says you need a phone to get into the Hostel, but there was no website and nothing about that on my booking site. He could have simply explained politely how to reach my room instead of attacking me. Not recommended.

A horrible experience. The owner is racist and doesn't know how to speak to people like human beings. He can't talk nicely. If you're not Slovak, I don't recommend this place, because he'll take your money and treat you like shit :)

Everything was clean and comfortable, including the rooms, each of which has its own bathroom and another room with a shower. There's a kitchen and dining area too. The setup takes a little explaining: there's no reception desk, just the owner's mobile number on the door. He speaks English and asks for your Booking.com reservation number and name, then tells you which of four lockers, numbered 1 to 4, is yours and gives you a four-digit code and three keys. The hostel is on the second floor, where the main entrance is. Use the second key for that door, then find your room and open it with the third key. The Wi-Fi password is posted inside.
