Hotel Astoria

The lunch menu was a letdown. They didn't have the main dish, so they swapped in a different fish, then split the menu and charged accordingly. The food itself was very average. I asked for no onion and repeated it at least five times, but my food still came with onion twice. I hate onion. Sad story.

The staff are lovely and helpful, and the rooms are clean. It's an unusual place, more of a house converted into a hotel than a typical hotel. My first impression wasn't great, but it grew on me after a while. The food is good too, and I'd be quite happy to come back.

The room itself was in good condition, but the area was noisy at night. The lobby is also too small to wait for the lift. Restaurant service was poor: even with few customers around, it took 1.5 hours to get the main dish.

A warm, cosy place to dine, with food and wine that stand out among the nearby restaurants. Miss yassin, the waitress, is very attractive. She speaks very good English, and even better French.
