A newly renovated, textbook mid sized hotel in a perfect downtown spot. The reception is nice, with a cafe, lobby bar, and restaurant that makes a fantastic cheesesteak. There's a beautiful pool area with another bar serving frozen daiquiris, and spacious rooms with balconies facing the pool or street. Nice conference space on the first floor, and a Popeyes restaurant on site. A few odd things were missing: no minibar, hair dryer, or strongbox in the room, and there was only body lotion, no soap by the sink. The TV didn't get any channels, the elevators were super slow, and the breakfast buffet cost $27 🤯. It seemed a good place to stay once they sort out the last details, since they weren't fully open yet.

I was among the first guests and stayed four nights, while the hotel was still partly under construction, with at least one floor unfinished. Even so, it seemed to be running nearly at full speed, and I was delighted by the comfort and exemplary service. The rooms and bedding were clean, soft, and comfortable. The staff were friendly, smart, and always smiling, which made me feel welcome. The restaurant was spacious, with a delicious menu and a good wine selection. Staff also went out of their way to help me exchange dollars for SRD after my ATM card failed and the currency exchanges were closed. They told me the pool was open and drinks could be served there, although I didn't use it. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Paramaribo.

Such a rewarding experience. The restaurant is divine, and the singer Señora Dalia la Negra is one of a kind and wonderful. 💫👌🤩💝🥰
