We booked at the last minute and paid $40 without breakfast, or $47 with it. Even then, breakfast is at a nearby restaurant, not the hostal. We’ve paid $35 at another nearby place and had breakfast right there. For a hostal, this felt overpriced. The room was roomy, with a big bed, two bottles of water, a TV, and a fan, but the rugs and chairs were dirty. The shower wiring also looked unsafe. I’m including a picture from the hostal we’re staying at now, where it was professionally wired.

The rooms are basic, but the restaurant makes fresh food just for you, the coffee is great, and the staff are lovely. It has a cool atmosphere too. One of the nicest hotels in El Salvador. If you’re in the area, I’d definitely recommend staying here.

We liked the garden so much, and the service was accommodating, that after stopping for a meal we ended up staying two days. We ate every meal here and did our laundry too. There’s even an ESPRESSO machine! The rooms are just okay, nothing fancy, and the shower uses an electric heater. Still, at 30 bucks it was a nice stay. They’re pet friendly as well.
