Hotel y Restaurante Rincón Familiar

We only stopped for one night, and without our own transport I wouldn't have wanted to stay longer because the hotel is a bit isolated and just outside town. We took the 102 bus from San Salvador and got off shortly before town. From there it was a short walk, or a quick, inexpensive taxi ride. The three pools are on the property, and we liked the larger one for swimming lengths. The nearby beach is better for surfing than relaxing, as it isn't particularly sandy. The rooms are spacious, with an unusual bathroom setup: the toilet, sink, and shower all have separate spaces. The A/C worked very well, and the friendly staff made sure we were comfortable. Dinner orders were taken around 6pm. Maybe that was because it was low season, but I'm not sure if that's always how it works. Restaurants are a bit far to walk to after dark, so plan ahead or eat early.

The staff were friendly and the food was good, with a great price. It's near the beach and shops, but away from the busy city. A wonderful place.

You can hear the waves anywhere on the property. The restaurant is open-air and spacious, with an upstairs area that has a small ocean view. Staff all wore masks, and the tables were kept clean. The food was very good and plentiful for the price. The grounds were swept every morning and the pools cleaned daily. Our room was very clean, with comfortable beds and a nice layout. The place felt clean, safe, beautiful, and well cared for. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting the coast of El Salvador.
