Hotel Latino

NOT A PLACE FOR CHILDREN!!! This place is so dirty and not recommendable at all. Our window faced the main road, so there was noise all day and night, plus more noise from other rooms. So disgusting! The front desk was poor, and getting in or out meant pressing the bell and waiting too long for the receptionist to open the door. Poor attention, poor service, poor cleaning. I don't understand how people give this place 4 or 5 stars!

We found this place because we needed somewhere near family, restaurants, and the schools my parents knew from childhood, basically just a place to sleep during our early December visit to Santa Ana, ES. It was very reasonably priced and felt more like a motel than a hotel. The rooms are simple, with two twin beds, a TV, and a bathroom, but after busy days it was just right for winding down. I’d say two adults max per room unless you’re a couple or traveling with children and have another option. Safety and cleanliness mattered most to us, and we found both here. Shopping centers and places to eat are within a five-minute walk, and there’s free parking inside. We felt safe because we had to ring the bell whenever we came or went, so non-guests wouldn’t be coming and going. The staff also helped with little things like buying bottled water (never drink tap water in ES!!) and other snacks. They had information about hiking at el Cerro Verde, including a hike up the Santa Ana Volcano, and cabins for rent there. We didn’t have time to go, though we would have loved to. If you want a simple, affordable, convenient place to stay in Santa Ana, check it out!

The people who work there are trustworthy, and I think it’s a good hotel for the price. I’ve been staying there since 2008, visiting between two and five times a year.

For what it costs, it’s decent.
