The price was what stood out most to me, especially for this area, and the rooms were clean and neat. The host was very friendly and clearly cares about guests. It feels safe here, and they make you feel like family. A great place to enjoy El Salvador. I’ll definitely be back.

We were very happy with the warm welcome and attentive service during our short weekend stay at Hostal Claros in Santa Tecla on March 8 and 9, 2025. The rooms were lovely and spotless, with comfortable beds and the essentials for a pleasant visit. There was plenty of parking, too. The hostel is in a private residential complex with security around the clock, and the area felt very safe. Shops and restaurants are close enough to walk to. We now have a place we’ll return to in Santa Tecla, El Salvador.

The hosts were attentive, and communication was great. The place is in a gated community, so it felt very safe, and the central location means there’s plenty nearby, including little shops for snacks. They provide what you need for a stay. I recommend it completely.

The location is very good, and the neighborhood feels safe. But I’m disappointed by the hostess, who has been unkind on the several occasions we’ve stayed. She wasn’t sympathetic when there was a car accident.
