Summerfield Luxury Resort & Botanical Garden

Mr Vusi made dinner especially memorable. He was attentive, friendly, and professional all evening, and the meal was delicious and beautifully prepared. We loved the lovely ambiance and opulent, truly special décor at Summerfields in Eswatini. It was a fantastic dining experience, and we look forward to returning.

The gardens were the highlight of my three nights and four days at Summerfield Botanical Garden & Eco Resort. Lush scenery, flowing water features, and a striking range of plants and wildlife make the grounds feel peaceful and carefully laid out. Waking to birdsong and spending time among the gardens was a lovely way to unwind and reconnect with nature. The setting brings together comfort and nature with an elegant simplicity, and the hospitality was warm. It felt like a five-star environment. A couple of things could make the stay more convenient. Wi-Fi was strong at times but unreliable at others, which made communication or light work harder. More in-room TV channel options would also be welcome for time spent in the suites. I left feeling rested and inspired. It’s a beautiful, tranquil escape where luxury meets peace, and despite those small improvements, the experience exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended for natural beauty and a premium getaway.

Summerfield is a lovely place, and we had a good time in Dove Nest room 1 on the top floor of the botanical garden. The problem was the website's over-the-top promises about the “Dove Nest freebies.” There was no arrival cocktail. When I asked reception, they looked blank and said, “maybe we used to do that but not for a long time.” No apology or alternative was offered. The welcome sweets were two small chocolates, and the “scrumptious signature biscuits” were just two ordinary cookies in cellophane. I took the “comfort beverage” to mean making your own cup of tea. These details hardly seem worth advertising. If the marketing creates an expectation, the resort should meet it, or guests may be disappointed.

The on-site restaurant is a big plus, and this is one of the best hotels we've visited. It's always clean and well kept, with great views and very friendly staff. Some attention to the rooms would help address deteriorating infrastructure. Even so, it's the hotel I'd recommend.
