Aonang Mountain Paradise

We drove a long way to Krabi hoping for a safe, clean place to rest, but this stay left us upset and deeply disappointed. The experience started badly with a call to the front desk to confirm room details. The staff member was cold and unfriendly, asked rudely, “Haven’t you stayed here before?”, then responded impatiently that payment was required. When I asked about QR code or international bank card payments, my questions were ignored. Things were no better at check-in. We didn’t know how to get to our room and waited at the entrance for help. Even after we asked, several front desk staff looked at us coldly and offered no directions or assistance. In this tourist destination, their English communication seemed lacking, and they showed little willingness to help or basic hospitality. The bathroom had a strong unpleasant odor, and there were many red ants around the window. The next day, I developed red swelling and severe itching on my thighs. It made me very uncomfortable and raised serious concerns for me about hygiene. Paying to stay here felt like paying to suffer rather than rest, and the experience completely spoiled the joy of our trip to Krabi. I’ll never stay here again or recommend it. I hope management retrains the front desk team in basic service and professionalism. It’s a pity that a hotel with such a nice environment is let down by poor service and attention to detail.

Even before we arrived, the front desk was rude and impatient when I called with simple room questions. They questioned me instead of helping, then brushed off my questions about payment options. When we got there, we didn’t know how to reach our room and waited at the entrance. The front desk staff just stood there with cold expressions and gave us no directions or help. Their manner felt unfriendly and unprofessional. In a tourist area, the communication was poor, and when language got in the way they seemed annoyed instead of trying to help. We felt unwelcome. The room wasn’t acceptable either. The bathroom smelled strongly and unpleasantly, and the room was unclean and poorly maintained. Staying here felt like paying to be treated badly, and it spoiled the mood of our trip. I won’t return or recommend it. Management needs to retrain the front desk staff in basic hospitality and respect. With a location this nice, the service and cleanliness should be better.

The pool has a lovely view of the cliffs, but there weren’t many sunbeds and they were uncomfortable. The room lighting was awful at night and really needs to be brighter. We could also hear everything from the next room through the connecting door, which had no soundproofing. The location worked perfectly for us: within walking distance of the main areas, but far enough out to stay nice and quiet. Our spacious rooms were clean and tidied every day, with fresh towels daily. The staff were friendly, especially Jan at the tourist information desk. Breakfast was mentioned online and in the room, but they weren’t offering it while we were there, and I’m not sure why. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

We spent six nights in a lovely, quiet green setting, and the staff were very nice. Our room was cleaned and stocked with fresh towels, Nescafe and tea each day. Good value for money, and I’d recommend it. The one thing I’d suggest is cleaning the shared areas, like the stairs and poolside, a little more often.
