Sengjan Garden

Ralph was wonderfully accommodating, always offering rides and patiently answering all our questions. He arranged our side trips too, and he's a very polite host with a lighthearted joke ready and a talent for art. Ken has the warmest smile in the land of a thousand smiles, and he's a great cook. We ate just one dinner outside Sengjan while we were there, and kept saying Ken's food was better, so he cooked breakfast and dinner for us every day after that. Joy, Ken's sister, we only met once, but her massages are heavenly, so be sure to get one. We also loved watching Coffee with Ken and petting Janet, Michael and Lucky. Keep them coming. ☺️ The villas aren't beside a famous beach, but that needn't put you off. Sengjan has scooters available to rent, and they're all in very good condition. Everything is cared for with real attention, and the hosts are wonderful. I'd choose Sengjan over a major resort. This was our home away from home and our best stay in Thailand. Others have already covered the lovely grounds, cleanliness, and how helpful Ralph and Ken are, and I wholeheartedly agree.

The hosts treated us like friends and were the best we've met. Our large rooms had separate living and sleeping areas and were kept spotless. The place is a little out of the way and there's some road noise, but you can rent a scooter or car. Ken and Ralph were always happy to drive us or arrange a taxi. I'd highly recommend it.

We were so glad we chose Sengjan Garden Villa in Krabi for a relaxing break instead of going back to busy, bustling Bangkok. After meeting our caring hosts, Ralph and Ken, we knew we were in good hands. It was a memorable vacation, with a calmer side of Thailand that we hadn't experienced before. Ralph, one of the two bosses, was easygoing and fun to talk to. He made us feel welcome, helped us find restaurants and nearby towns, and gladly took us on short outings and boat trips along the coast. Ken mostly stayed at the compound looking after guests and made lovely home-cooked meals. We all enjoyed the food. One evening we asked whether the resort could prepare a seafood barbecue, and Ken surprised us with fresh seafood, potatoes, and a wonderful homemade Thai barbecue sauce. We ate our fill. The homemade passion-fruit ice cream afterward and marmalade at breakfast the next morning were memorable too. The place is a cozy spot for a peaceful holiday, especially for people with busy lives. Its small grounds have five villas and a comfortable shared pool where guests can swim or chat. When we stayed a couple of weeks ago, the atmosphere was mostly calm and cool.

We spent two weeks here relaxing and exploring Krabi and the Phi Phi area. The villa was comfortable and cleaned regularly, and everything we needed was on site: good Thai food, cold drinks, a refreshing pool, motorbike rental, laundry, and massage. Klong Muang's quiet, beautiful sunset beaches are only 10 minutes away by motorbike, a nice break from touristy Ao Nang. The hosts go above and beyond to make your stay wonderful.
