We liked how peaceful the setting was, away from the noisy city center but still an easy walk from Ao Nang beach. The surroundings are naturally beautiful. Our room at Sunda Resort was clean, comfortable and very good, and the food was delicious. There weren’t unnecessary restrictions around dining, which made meals relaxed and easy.

The setting is beautiful, and the resort has nice raised walkways. There’s a 7 eleven about five minutes away, and they offer a free shuttle to the beach at certain times of day. The room and bathroom felt old, though, and the stay itself wasn’t that great. Customer service was just manageable, as was breakfast. Overall, it was okay.

The bungalows are roomy and comfortable, with lots of greenery around them. Friendly dogs came over and sat on our porch, which was lovely. We only stayed one night and found the price very reasonable. Keep the doors shut because of the mosquitoes. It’s quite a walk to the main area of Aonang with the bars and restaurants. Still, I enjoyed having a bungalow beside the pool for a change instead of a sterile hotel.

Sunda Resort was a horrible experience. They charged us 2500 Baht for a small stain on the bedsheet. It wasn’t our fault, and I feel they do this on purpose to get money from guests. I’d give the resort a negative rating if I could. The rooms were dirty, there was no telephone and no bathing or shaving supplies in the bathroom. Breakfast was awful, the reception staff were the worst I’ve ever seen, and they didn’t provide dinner, à la carte or otherwise. I visited recently. People, especially those coming from India, should avoid this resort.

I accidentally left something valuable here, and the resort staff were easy to reach. They sent my things back without any trouble, and I’m really grateful. The people were friendly and helpful throughout. There’s lots of greenery around, and the accommodation is close to both the city center and the beach. I really recommend this place in Krabi.
