Joy Hotel

Basic rooms in a good beachside location. Unfortunately, the beach was covered in all sorts of debris, which was very disappointing.

This small hotel is quiet, set a little way out on the north side, and has a nice beach. The rooms look good, but I'd choose the third or fourth floor. From the balcony on the second floor, you can hear chickens early in the morning. The windows seal much better on the upper floors, so you don't hear them there.

Staff are attentive and service-minded, and breakfast is filling: eggs, toast, coffee, ham, sausages, fruit and rice, three of each for the price we paid. There’s direct beach access, though the water may not be as nice as Ao Manao because the place is so close to the local fishing Village. The view is still decent. We had a family-friendly triple studio room, about 2150 thb with tax, with sleeping arrangements for up to three adults and two small children. This is one of the few accommodation options on the quieter, less visited Ao Noi bay in the tricove area of Prachuap Khiri Khan muang district. It's a little pricier than what's available in town for the same or less, but I'd still recommend it for a quiet evening with a couple or small family. Rooms are on multiple floors and there's no lift, so keep that in mind if accessibility is an issue.
