The River Palm Resort

A peaceful natural setting and some greenery make River Palm Resort a relaxing place to chill, while still keeping you near the CBD and the heart of the city.

The staff are friendly and efficient, and for a room in this area, I guess this is the best option within a 20-minute drive. It’s in an industrial area, but has potential, sitting by the canal across from the district office, with long-tail boats going by. Room size and amenities are good, though cleanliness could be better. Some parts of the resort are unused or under construction, and the common and pool areas aren't perfectly clean. For example, the top-floor toilets had no issue or soap. There’s no restaurant on site, so breakfast is usually just bread with coffee, tea, or Milo.

The room felt lovely with the wind coming through when both doors were open. There’s a small balcony at the back and a wide gallery at the front. It’s spacious, with a fantastic bed and a warm shower with enough pressure. The resort is new, so everything is clean and modern. They chose cheap furniture, though. The staff are helpful and friendly.

The location is good for a stay, and the rooms are clean. The bed is really comfortable.
