H5 Luxury Hotel

The breakfast was filling and tasty, with good service. I had basil chicken with rice, plus fruit, toast, tea, milk, and orange juice. The rooms were clean and the accommodation was nice.

I landed in Bangkok after midnight and booked this room before heading into the city center the next day. The taxi from the airport cost 200 baht, and the hotel is about a 20 minute drive away. The lobby was spacious and clean, and check-in was quick and smooth. The room was clean and a decent size for me and my family. The bed was roomy enough for two adults and a child, and the mattress was comfortable. Air conditioning felt a bit weak, though it wasn’t unbearably warm. The walls and doors are very thin, and I could hear the hallway and even my neighbor’s alarm clock. Water pressure was fine, with hot and cold water. Soap and shampoo were provided, but there was no dental kit. Breakfast ran from 630-1030 am. Nothing special, but appreciated at this price. The dining room was big, had plenty of seats, and looked clean. It’s quite far from the main tourist sights, in what seems to be an industrial neighborhood. There’s a small 24 hour grocery store next door for snacks or toiletries. A good affordable, decent place for people passing through Suvarnabhumi Airport before or after a flight. I wouldn’t recommend it for general sightseeing because of the location. I’m satisfied with the value.

I’d recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a good place nearby. Khun Karn at reception was great at sorting out problems and providing service.

The service was the worst I’ve come across. Several rooms had broken or nonworking air conditioners, there was no Wi-Fi, and many bathroom and washbasin drains were clogged. Guests also had plenty of complaints about the service. We stayed three days, but routine items like shaving and dental kits were only provided on the first day.
