We were three, two adults and our 14-year-old. The resort was small and quiet, with the beach close by. Our room was fairly basic but did what we needed. The pool was decent. One drawback was that no food was being served during our stay, possibly because it was low season in July.

We arrived without a booking and were welcomed so warmly. The rooms are roomy, the beds really comfortable, and the pool was great for cooling off and keeping our little one busy. The beach is just outside the gate, with a lovely beachfront restaurant within walking distance. Beautiful spot and lovely staff. I’d recommend it if you’re after a quieter stay in Thailand.

The rooms were clean and nicely equipped, and the manager helped us sort out a couple of small issues. But I’d booked expecting a beachfront hotel, and this place is quite a way from the beach. We were on a bike tour, so the lack of shops and restaurants nearby didn’t work well for us. It might suit you better if you have a car. It also costs more than similar places in the area, including some that are right on the beach.
