The beach is right at your doorstep, with a laid-back feel, miles of sand to wander along, and a spot to eat right by the water where you can watch the sunrise. Our room was spotless, the shower had really hot water, and it was huge compared with other rooms we’ve had for a similar price. We even upgraded when we arrived without any hassle, and would’ve stayed longer if we’d had the time. The staff were lovely, friendly, and helpful. It’s a hidden gem for the price, and a great place to see everyday Thai life and culture. The local people were very friendly, though not many spoke English, and we had a great experience. If you’re looking for girlie bars, this probably isn’t the place for you.

The sea view and location are wonderful, and there’s a good restaurant nearby. Some rooms are old, though, and a few facilities weren’t ready to use, especially in the cheaper room area.

A funny experience. I called from the street to ask about the price and was quoted 500-1,000 baht. Three minutes later, when I got there and called again, nobody picked up.
