Natee Hostel

Friendly staff and breakfast, and I had a fine time here in Thailand. The hostel was clean and well run, with affordable prices. It's near train lines, taxis, malls, and bars.

It's cheap but really nice, especially with breakfast included: bread, coffee, milk, juice, and cereal. I liked having a shared kitchen and common area where you can relax.

We've stayed at Natee Hostel a few times before and had good experiences, so this recent visit was a real letdown. On the first day, there was a bar of soap in the bathroom. My mother assumed it was for guests and used it, but we later learned someone had left it behind by mistake. The next day, another bar was left outside the cabinet without a sign, label, or lock, so she thought that one was for guests too. A staff member, the pregnant lady, then demanded that we pay 100 THB and spoke to us rudely. If those soaps weren't for guests, they should have been stored away or clearly marked. Even if we'd misunderstood, a polite explanation would have sorted it out. Instead, the staff member was impolite and disrespectful, and the way she handled it felt unprofessional. I urge management to improve staff training for guest interactions and make sure non-guest items are stored or labeled clearly. To the staff member directly: if you're tired or don't want to work, you can rest at home, but while on duty you still have a responsibility to treat guests with basic politeness and professionalism. Guests pay to stay here, not to be treated badly. Please don't act like a “little power-holder” over something trivial or take your frustrations out on guests. This small misunderstanding turned into a very unpleasant experience and damaged our impression of Natee Hostel. The room had ants everywhere, which made the hygiene seem very poor. A staff member, the pregnant lady, was also extremely rude and arrogant, talking to guests as if we owed her something. A small problem could have been handled with a polite conversation, but her condescending manner made the stay unpleasant. Guests pay for a clean place and respectful treatment. Very disappointing, and I strongly advise travelers to avoid this place.
