Amari Bangkok

The location worked well for us, with a couple of malls nearby and plenty of tuk tuk taxis around. There isn’t a train or metro station close by, though. The nearest one is about a 15-minute walk. Even with that, I’d recommend Amari Bangkok for a trip to the city, as it has what you need. We had excellent service, with staff always ready to help, and our room had a nice view of Bangkok. Traffic noise came through at night, but that’s part of life in a lively city and didn’t bother me much. Breakfast offered a wide selection of food and drinks. The pool area was pleasant, although a few more beach chairs would have been nice.

The connecting route near the hotel is affected by metro construction at the moment, which may add to travel time or make getting around less convenient. My stay and business event at Amari Bangkok fell short of expectations. Several requirements confirmed during planning weren’t carried out as agreed, and that affected the event. The hotel has a strong reputation, but service didn’t consistently match the commitments made beforehand. Better coordination and follow-through would help, especially for corporate and business events where reliable execution matters. I hope management addresses these gaps so the experience better matches what guests are led to expect.

On this visit, our first room had a noticeable lingering smoke smell. We raised it with the team, who responded quickly and moved us to a more comfortable room. We appreciated how professionally and thoughtfully they handled it. We’ve been coming to Bangkok about every six months for the past few years, and Amari Bangkok remains our hotel of choice. We’re Amari Platinum members and have stayed at several Amari properties, but this one gives us the best overall experience. The staff are attentive, professional and caring. Siraa Club makes us feel especially well looked after, and Ms. Mook’s warmth stood out. She once asked what we’d enjoyed at other Amari hotels and noted the foods we like. Later that day, those items appeared at evening cocktail time. Maybe it was a coincidence, but it was a lovely touch. We also especially liked the soft, comfortable towels. Thanks for making every stay so welcoming. We look forward to coming back to Bangkok.

I particularly enjoyed the dosa made daily by the Indian male chef on Level 4. The breakfast had a nice variety, and that Indian selection was a highlight of my stay. The Thai restaurant, though, was disappointing compared with the rest of the experience. I was in Bangkok for a conference and vacation, staying eight days at the hotel for my first visit to the city. Reception and call service staff were friendly, professional and spoke good English, so communication was easy. Thanks as well to the ladies assisting at the elevators, housekeeping, the luggage assistance staff and everyone else who helped make my stay smooth and welcoming. I’m grateful to the whole team for the hospitality.
