This was the most disappointing and uncomfortable hotel stay I’ve had. The service and facilities fell short from the start. The receptionist always seemed occupied on the phone and barely interested in helping, which made a poor first impression. We were first put in the last room on the 7th floor, which seemed like an extension added later. The lift only goes to the 6th floor, so guests have to climb a wooden ladder to reach the 7th. That felt unsafe and inconvenient. The room seemed manageable at first, but all night there was a loud, continuous motor or machinery noise that never let up. We were already exhausted from traveling, and barely slept. We told reception the next morning. They moved us to a room on the 3rd floor, but it faced the street, and traffic and other outside sounds were just as disruptive at night. The room was shockingly small, with hardly any space to move or even open our luggage. In the cramped washroom, the toilet seat nearly touches you while you shower, which felt uncomfortable and unhygienic. There was also something like grease or oil on the floor that kept making my feet feel oily. The television didn’t work. The hotel lacks basic comfort, sensible room planning, soundproofing, and professional service. With the noise, poor facilities, and staff’s lack of attention, it felt like a complete waste of money. I strongly wouldn’t recommend Amber Inn Hotel to anyone wanting a peaceful or comfortable stay.

The staff were the best part, truly outstanding and very helpful. The location is great too, with things open 24 hours, so you don’t have to worry about finding food or souvenirs far away. Traffic jams can make it hard to get a Bolt or Grab sometimes. The mattress is quite firm, and I could feel the springs. I could hear people nearby too, but it was still comfortable enough for me to sleep.

We came during shoulder season, so the rates were reasonable. The location is the big plus, right in the heart of Pratunam and easy to reach from all the shopping areas. We had a lovely stay.

I was so happy spending my first solo trip at Amber Inn. The hotel is affordable, and I’d definitely recommend it. The staff were helpful, my room was cleaned every day, and they kept my luggage so I could travel on my last day in Bangkok. They also gave me discount coupons, 25 baht off food at their cafe and 20 baht off coffee.

This budget-friendly place met my expectations. Even though it’s near the market, it was quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. The room was comfortable and the service excellent. The bathroom had a bidet, and they cleaned the room and changed the towels daily.
