Aspen Suites Hotel Sukhumvit 2, Bangkok, Thailand

For our first trip abroad, we stayed three days, and I wish we'd chosen a different hotel instead of trading quality for a lower price. If you're an Indian traveler, you may find the breakfast very disappointing. The room also had several maintenance problems: the TV didn't work, hot water was unreliable, and the toilet wouldn't flush, so I had to pour water myself. There's no room service or laundry facility. I usually don't write reviews, but wanted to warn others. I hope people coming here from India can avoid the hassle we had.

The hotel made it easy to get around, with a helpful tuk-tuk service and a great location near Nana Sukhumvit for exploring nearby attractions. The staff were welcoming: front desk service was friendly and efficient, the bellboy was polite and attentive, and communication and check-in went smoothly. My room stayed clean, comfortable, and well maintained throughout. The food was delicious, with plenty of variety, and the swimming pool was clean and relaxing. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.

The rooms were good, but the hotel and its staff weren't friendly. Since it's in a small alley, I was told there was a free tuk-tuk to the nearby metro station. We waited over 45 minutes just to get one for the 900-meter trip. I'd rather walk, and I was close to missing my sightseeing. The location makes access difficult. Don't book if you depend on public transport and easy access.

Cockroaches in both the room and bathroom made this a very disappointing stay. The room wasn't properly cleaned, and cleanliness standards clearly weren't being maintained. When we complained about hygiene and service, staff responded unprofessionally and spoke about us in Thai in a way that felt disrespectful and inappropriate. It was an uncomfortable, unpleasant stay. I wouldn't recommend the hotel unless its cleanliness, maintenance, and staff professionalism improve.
