Best Western Sukhumvit 2 Hotel

The pool deck could use some attention, with a few loose panels and paintwork that needs refreshing. Still, I’d stay here again. After nine nights, I found the rooms modern-looking and very clean, and the cleaners did a great job every day. The front desk staff were lovely and spoke great English. Breakfast was good value, and it’s a handy spot, with a 7eleven up the road and Grab rides that don’t cost much. Also, the room had a massive smart TV.

I didn’t use a room, so I can’t comment on that. The lobby and toilets felt clean and cozy, and there’s a restaurant and counter bar inside. The hotel is in busy Sukhumvit, about a 600-700 meter walk from BTS Ploenchit station. There’s a local market by the main road, though the hotel shuttle car was out of service. The BTS makes places like Siam and Jim Thompson easy to visit, and you can connect onward to historical sites, but that takes other transport. For several days focused on historical sights, I’d choose somewhere closer. If you want shopping malls and some time to relax at the end of a vacation, this seems like a good option.

The rooftop pool is excellent, and the staff are great. It’s good value too. You’re close to the lively nightlife without getting too much of the noise, and the BTS is only about a three-minute walk away, so it’s easy to reach nearly anywhere.

Breakfast is worth trying. The buffet costs 280 Baht per person and has plenty to choose from. Our room was large and clean, especially the bathroom, which we really liked. The hotel is handy for BTS station Ploen Chit. Tuk-tuks and taxis are options too, though with the traffic, BTS or Metro can often be faster. The staff were friendly and helpful, thank you. We had a very nice stay at SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western in Sukhumvit 2 and would definitely return.
