The accommodation was comfortable and satisfactory, but getting in was stressful. The place sits deep inside a market area that felt quite unsafe at night, and access needs passcodes for both the building and room. The host hadn’t sent them in advance, so arriving late without the codes made check-in extremely difficult. If you plan to arrive in the evening, I’d strongly suggest reconsidering. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The owner was very responsive when the door nob ran out of battery and the dryer stopped working. She arranged replacements right away, and we really appreciated the hospitality. The room was clean and right in the centre of a very busy street. Food vendors and motorbikes get going downstairs early, but ear plugs were provided, so it wasn’t an issue for us. We like massages and local food, so the location suited us perfectly. We loved the stay and will definitely recommend it to friends. I’ll come back.

There was no real service during our seven-day stay. Nobody cleaned the room or emptied the rubbish bin, and we got no fresh towels or bed sheets. Check-in was by passcode, and there didn’t seem to be any service staff. Worst of all, a pump in the room made loud cranking noises every few minutes all night. We showed a video of it to the cafe receptionist, who said it was normal. They expect guests to use the earplugs provided. Please check the video I included before booking, so you know whether you can put up with noise every 5 to 10 minutes through the night. The carpet and bin bag had horrible stains, and there’s no lift. You have to carry luggage up four levels of stairs, so it’s not a good choice with heavy bags. I won’t return. This was probably one of the worst places I’ve stayed, and it wasn’t worth the price. Nearby Qiu hotel is much, much better and costs around the same.

Downstairs there’s plenty of food, and you can get a massage too. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and roomy, and the toilets are really clean. Just be ready for the stairs if you have big luggage, especially if you’re on the fourth floor. Facilities are basic, and the water dispenser only has cold water, but having a washer and dryer upstairs is handy.
